During interrogation the accused, Ravi Chand Arora, who works as a caterer and lives near Charni Road railway station, confessed that he would indulge in the act as the frequent announcements would disturb him.
The RPF started investigating the matter after it received complaints of stone-pelting incidents between Marine Lines and Charni Road railway stations for a week. A motorman was injured in one of the incidents and had registered a complaint. Senior Inspector, Dinesh Kumar Kannaujia, Churchgate RPF, had formed special teams to investigate.
They nabbed Arora red-handed while he was pelting stones on trains. Kannaujia confirmed Arora’s confession that he was undergoing medical treatment at J J hospital.
