Did you know that while jazz dance is any form of movement made to Jazz sounds, it includes various forms like tap dance and jitterbug? If you are keen to learn the art with its several sub-genres, attend a unique workshop that combines Street Jazz and Body Art by Broadway Dance Center (US) graduates, Akshay Chaturvedi and Prajakta Jeevan.

"Body Art also covers workouts that are specially designed for dancers. The dancers will strengthen their body postures through this form of dance. Prajakta is one of the very few teachers of Body Art in India," says Jalpa Shah, the manager of renowned dancer Shakti Mohan. The workshop is being held at Mohan's studio that opened last year. "They will showcase their strengths and skills based on what they learnt in the US that will help upcoming dancers," she adds.
Like Jeevan, Chaturvedi, too, is one of the pioneers of this genre. "Street Jazz also has elements of Hip-Hop," explains Shah.
