Being a dog lover journalist Apeksha Harihar often had a hard time styling her dogs without spending a bomb. In a bid to bridge the gap in the market Harihar started Urban Brat in December last year. It's USP is that it offers a range of accessible pet products.

Her love for dogs had led her to start a dog lifestyle magazine Where's My Bone? in January last year and it influenced her decision to venture into e-commerce.
"Pet owners obsess about dressing them up, especially for events including birthday parties. Unfortunately, there are limited designer wear options for the masses. No wonder we got a terrific response, several products were sold out," adds Harihar.
Leather collar
The bulk of their products are designed for dogs but they will stock products for other pets as well soon. On offer are shirts, leather jackets, blankets, collars, T-shirts with cute messages and charms for dogs. They also stock gourmet cookies and vegetarian muffins for dogsu00a0 that are prepared as per dietary restrictions. Most of their products are made by in-house designers.
