The derailment of a CST-bound train near Masjid railway station has caused a disruption on the Harbour line with suburban train services on the CST-Wadala route being suspended

The derailment of a CST-bound train near Masjid railway station has caused a disruption on the Harbour line during peak hours leaving commuters in the lurch during peak hours.


Commuters will now have to use the Wadala-Panvel route to travel towards Panvel while suburban train services on the Harbour Line between CST-Wadala has been suspended.


Three coaches of the Bandra-CST train number 66 derailed between Masjid and CST at around 7 pm. But since the train had slowed down between the two stations, there were no casualties reported. the derailment led to the shutting down of the CST-Wadala route, both the up line and the down line.


Shuttle services are being operated on the Wadala-Panvel route apart from normal services.

At the same time, private cab Uber have escalated their prices by two to three times of the basic fare on the route around island city.
