Artist Shubra Nanal's colourful paintings might just take you to cloud nine
At first glance, Shubra Amoul Nanal's artworks at Malaka Spice are a happy splash of bright colours. Nanal herself admits that her paintings are made in vibrant happy colours. Her theme is Made in Heaven which is inspired by the fact that she recently got married.

She is from Pune and graduated in Applied Arts from Abhinav Kala. She is also a good singer and her love for music reflects on canvas.
"My acrylic on canvas paintings have rhythmic lines that are related to my art. You will see many happy colours, like red, blue and purple and other vibrant shades that reflect the seven musical notes," she states. Her artworks depict love that binds people together and depicts the positive energy floating around. Based on relationships, love, serenity and purity, there are lots of butterflies, snails, flowers and women featured in her paintings.
"The woman is often in the centre of many relationships, which she manages well. Relationships are important and we must value them."
Apart from painting, she also dabbles in graphic designing, pottery art, costume designing and interior designing. She is now in the process of shifting to Mumbai where her third studio will come up.u00a0
