Swami Agnivesh must apologize, says fringe group

Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena (BSKS), a fringe group, has asked Swami Agnivesh to apologize for his comments on the Visva-Bharati girl who was forced to drink urine by her hostel warden for bedwetting.

"He should apologise for his comments otherwise he will be made to do what the girl was forced to do by her warden', BSKS stated in a statement, adding that he should apologize within 24 hours.

Swami Agnivesh on Tuesday said that a lot of fuss was being made over the incident where a girl was asked to drink her urine as a cure for bedwetting and that he has himself practised it.

A warden in West Bengal's Visva-Bharati school, Uma Poddar, had asked a class 5 student to drink her urine as punishment for bedwetting.

Of late, BSKS has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. One of its members had slapped team Anna member and Supreme court lawyer, Prashant Bhushan.

Last week, BSKS members also pasted posters near the Pakistan High Commission, among other embassies, demanding freedom for Balochistan.
