One-time soutens, Tabu and Raveena Tandon Thadani have been cast together for the first time in Soumik Sen's Gulab. Gulab is an all-woman action-oriented film and both the actresses will play strong characters in it.

On the lines of 300!
Sen had earlier penned Ru-Ba-Ru starring Randeep Hooda and Gulab marks the writer's debut as a director. Interestingly, Raveena was to produce the film earlier. The actress and the director have been good friends and he convincedu00a0 her to act in his debut film.





Besides Tabu and Raveena, Gulab also stars Shahana Goswami and Mahie Gill. Sen explains,u00a0 "But it is not a Charlie's Angels. It is a very realistic film." The action and violence in the film are said to be on the lines of the Hollywood flick 300," said our source.

Soumik Sen confirms, "Yes, it is true that Tabu and Raveena are playing the lead in Gulab. I wanted to make a women-oriented film since a long time.u00a0 Now that my cast is in place, I will start shooting the film soon." He stresses that even though his film is action-oriented, it will have great music, "We will adopt rural folk songs and sync heavy metal music in it."

Gulab is being produced by Hari Om Productions.
