If you know who invented the bikini or which hemline gets its name from a leafy vegetable, you might be eligible to ace a fashion quiz scheduled for this Saturday in Khar. Presented by Gaysi, an online space for the desi queer community, in association with Imbesharam.com, the fifth edition of Can You Repeat The Question Please will judge you on all things fashion. “As fans of trivia nights ourselves, we decided to host ones inspired by queer culture. Each trivia night has a different theme.

This time, we chose fashion because the gay community loves their fashion divas,” says Anuja Parikh of Team Gaysi, which has previously hosted quiz nights on Game Of Thrones, Queer Cinema and Queer Musicians. “We have been hosting these for two years and get a decent crowd of 80 participants for each event,” she informs.

The quiz is divided into four categories — Divas Of Design (which tests your knowledge of fashion designers), Desi Fashion (related to the fashion industry in India), Accessorise and Fashion General Knowledge. While the Gaysi team has curated the questions in-house, the quizmaster for the evening is RJ Rohini Ramnathan. With participation open to all, each team can include a minimum of three and maximum of five members. The event will also feature a Singles Question Round.

Ahead of the quiz night, here’s a glimpse of what to expect (see quiz on right). And if you still haven't Googled the answer to the earlier question, then, know that the bikini was invented by a French engineer, Louis Réard in 1946, and was named after the Bikini Atoll, where the US performed nuclear tests.
