Stepping into the art show Harmony of Art is skin to taking a trip to the villages of Bengal and Karnataka. Rural images have beenu00a0entrapped on canvas with acrylic and water colour. 
City artists Rajarshi Dutta Roy and Satish Biradhar believe landscapes on nature and figurative are more popular among and appealing as d ufffdcor in office spaces and homes.

"The colour and composition of my paintings attract clients. I use warm colours like red, orange and yellow in my paintings. They come to my palate unconsciously as I am attracted to them," says Rajarshi, who started painting inspired by his father, a lecturer in the Indian College of Arts in Kolkata.

Rajarshi didn't receive any formal training in fine arts. While working as a medical representative in Murshidabad (a district in Bengal), he was moved by the people and the nature around him. "My paintings depict the villages of Murshidabad. I am so inspired by the place that I can paint without visiting the place now," says Rajarshi.
In the exhibition, the villages of Bengal are juxtaposed with the villages of Karnataka painted by Satish Biradhar. Satish's paintings are inspired by the temple and the quiet untouched nature surrounding Hampi. He received his diploma in painting from Government Fine Arts College of Dharwad, Karnataka.

"I use water colours in my painting because it dries up fast and is less expensive compared to oil colours," says Satish. He also works on 2D animations and has worked on several TV serials.
However Rajarshi's paintings are not just limited to rural landscape. It also includes the lanes and crowd of city life. He has also worked on stylised art(photo-realisticu00a0 human figures) with charcoal and acrylic. "It's called Bondage ofu00a0 Love series and depicts the relation between men and women," explains Rajarshi.
