Police today said they have lodged a case against a forest guard and a teacher in connection with alleged rape of a 22-year- old girl who was set to marry next month.
The incident took place on Thursday at Basigarh, about 50km from here, when Gulab, a teacher, forced the girl, who was going to the local market to buy clothes, to sit on his motorcycle, they said.

Gulab took her to a desolated spot where Balmar, working as a 'Nakedar' in Forest Department, was present.
Balmar allegedly raped the girl while the teacher fled from the scene, they said.
On returning home, the girl narrated the incident to her parents, whose registered a police complaint.
Both accused are absconding and police are on the look-out for them.
