The accused was identified as Santosh Dalvi (30), a computer teacher in Seth Chimanlal Nathuram School in Santacruz (East).

The police said on Monday the minor was molested again and this time she was in so much physical pain that she told her parents everything.

Contract employee
The school said the teacher was not a permanent employee and was working on contract basis for the past three years. While the school removed the accused teacher after his arrest, the police said they were investigating further to determine whether he was involved in more such crimes in the school.

Officials from the Vakola police station said Dalvi would molest the six-year-old victim during class hours, ignoring her resistance to his actions.
The police said the accused even kept threatening the minor with dire consequences if she told her parents or anybody else about him.

The final straw
On Monday afternoon, the girl was in the computer room and Dalvi was teaching the class. The police said Dalvi went near the girl and molested her, leaving her with severe pain in her chest. After school, the girl met her mother outside the school and told her about the pain in her chest. When her mother asked her what had happened, the girl revealed everything to her.

The mother then approached the school officials and the police station. The police arrested Dalvi on Monday night. “Dalvi has been arrested under Section 354 of the IPC, which deals with molestation,” a police official said. “He was produced in the Bandra court yesterday. We are investigating whether he is involved in more crimes of this kind in the same school.”

Ajit Pawar, the personal assistant of a school trustee, said the school would take care such incidents do not recur.

“It is very unfortunate incident and we have terminated him (Dalvi) from service,” Pawar said. “He was not a permanent employee of our school. We will be vigilant from now to prevent such incidents.” u00a0
