WhatsApp has recently rolled out a new update on iOS platform. 2.17.40, the latestWhatsApp version, brings in features like pinned chats, all forms of file support, and the facility to delete multiple images at one time.
Pinned chats will help iPhone users to pin important or favourite chats on the top corner of the screen. This will help them access the chats easily, irrespective of when the last conversation happened. This feature was introduced on Android platform in May this year.
However, to access the 'Pinned Chat' feature, iOS users need to ensure that they have the latest updated version of WhatsApp. This can be done from the App store. Once the user clicks on Pin, the particular chat will be moved to the top of the screen and it will remain there until and unless the user unpins it. An iPhone user can pin up to three chats in total. The moment he tries to pin the fourth chat, a message alert stating 'You can only pin up to 3 chats' will automatically display on the screen.
Apart from the Pin feature, iPhone users with updated version of WhatsApp can send any type of documents. Also, like before, it won’t limit a user to select file types. Lastly, those with version 2.17.40 can select multiple photos at one time and delete those in one go. This has become possible due to a new photo bundling feature, which bundles images automatically and save chat screen space on iPhones.
