Technical snag leaves Mumbai Metro commuters stranded during peak hour

Metro services on the Versova Andheri Ghatkopar (VAG) line one were affected on Wednesday evening due to technical glitch.

A overhead wire failure occurred around 4.30 pm due to which services were paralysed for a while.

Metro services going towards Ghatkopar have been suspended and only line 2 (towards Versova) is in operation for the Up & Down route. The technical snag has caused commuters a lot of problem and passengers were even seen walking on the tracks.

The MOPL spokesperson said: "Their is an overhead wire failure near Andheri and train services are suspended temporarily between Versova and Airport Station. Trains are running between Airport Road and Gharkopar Station. We expect to resume full service soon. MMOPL regrets inconvenience."

Normal services are expected to resume in some time.
