A 17-year-old girl, who left home after a dispute with her siblings, was kidnapped by four youths near Nal Stop in Kothrud and later raped by them near the canal in Vadgaon Budruk in the wee hours yesterday
Cops say the victim, who hails from Mulshi taluka, stays with her siblings and relatives, as she is an orphan.
“The girl had an argument at home and left in a fit of a rage. While she was waiting for a bus near Kinara Hotel on Paud road, four unidentified youths approached her and offered to drop her at Swargate,” said inspector Satish Govekar of Dattawadi police station.

The offenders led her to a flat where they had a meal. In her statement the girl said around 4 am she insisted the youths drop her home. The miscreants took her to a secluded place behind Jagdamba temple, raped her taking turns and left.u00a0
