The actress, who is starring in the upcoming film Grand Masti, was set to perform at the event along with her co-stars.
Says Karishma, “I was practising in Aaram Nagar at a rehearsal hall for three days. One day prior to the actual event I went to the practice session and kept my handbag in a corner. I never imagined that someone would touch it.”
Much to her dismay, all the contents of her bag were stolen, including the advance amount paid to her by the organisers.
The actress however has not lodged a formal police complaint yet.
She says, “There is no point in accusing anyone as there are slim chances of the valuables being recovered. I knew the choreographers there and I asked around if anyone had witnessed the theft but no one confessed.” u00a0
