Sachin Tendulkar is known to be polite to a fault, and this was evident once again on Monday.
His entry into the Eden Gardens was greeted with the showering of confetti and the installation of a life-size wax statue of the Little Master at the BC Roy Clubhouse.

But, so focussed was Tendulkar on the impending nets that he took little note of these. However, once done with practice, he returned to pose with the wax statue, erected by sculptor Susanta Roy, a resident of Asansol in Bengal.
