Tendulkar will have to wait for gold coins

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has already declared that they would present 100 gold coins to Sachin Tendulkar if the he completes 100 international tons during the third Test against West Indies at the Wankhede Stadium. But, for the coins to be handed over to the batting maestro, it will take at least a fortnight.

"These coins will be specially made for him. You just can't go to the market and buy them. It will take at least 15-20 days for the suppliers to inscribe his name and deliver it to us. So, Sachin will not be getting the coins then and there," MCA treasurer Ravi Savant told MiD DAY yesterday.

According to Savant, MCA will organise a function to felicitate the legendary batsman where the state association officials and the former players of the state will also be present.
