Shiv Sena MP Rajan Vichare on Thursday said that Railways is facing certain logistical problems in running local AC train for the Mumbai suburban section on the Central line.
Vichare, who represents Thane in Lok-Sabha said,"I had a detailed discussion with the Railway authorities on the issue of AC local trains. Railways was facing certain logistical problems in running the entire AC local train as it fears all the passengers in the platform may enter the AC bogie irrespective of the ticket they have," he told reporters in Thane.
"As a solution, Railways have come out with a proposal to attach a couple of AC bogies to the locals being run from Thane. At present a study for it is being conducted and the same would be introduced in couple of months," Vichare said.
He further said development of the city has suffered as a development plan has not been prepared since a long time.
