Alternative Rock band Blakc is launching their second studio album MotheredLand and are all set to enthrall the audiences at Hard Rock Cafe
For their second studio album, music band Blakc has chosen to focus on the chaotic state of affairs in our country. Talking about the album, the band’s lyricist and guitarist Anish Menon, says, “After our individualistic first album, we wanted to write about the establishment and society that we are a part of. Out of this thought MotheredLand was born.”

“The album wants people to be more responsible and hopes to make people aware of the situation that we all are played, owned and run by some powerful and commanding personalities in our society,” he adds.
The album is a collection of 10 songs and includes tracks such as Agenda and My angry soul, which runs for nine minutes and happens to be the longest song in the album. “This is not the first time we are performing in Pune. We have done more than 20 shows here. But this time we are coming after a long break so this is a sort of a comeback for us. The city has always given us a huge response as we have performed in cafes and colleges over the city. We are expecting a good response this time as well,” adds Menon.
The band comprises of Shawn Pereira (vocals), Roop Thomas (bass), Shishir Thakur (drums) and Reinhart Dias (guitar) along with Menon. The band has been playing together since 2007. The album MotheredLand was mastered at Sterling Studios, New York by Chris Athens.u00a0Known for Rock music, Blakc is a five year-old brand with a history of more than 600 shows all over the country. Their album’s first single, Untitled has been a trendsetter online and has over 10,000 views.
