The two-day auction where this collection will go under the hammer, is being organised by Todywalla Auctions.
It is their 65th auction of coins, banknotes and medals at the 10th annual Coin, Banknote and Philately Fair to be held in the city. Numismatics will be able to lay their hands on historically important coins and bank notes dating back to hundreds of years.
For those who dig their ancient history, this auction is worth a visit. The entry is free and one can use this trip to gain insights into the world of Indian currency. Some of the rare exhibits at the auction include zodiac coins of Emperor Jahangir — Aeries, Taurus and Gemini star sign, coins of the Kashmir Kings Meghavana and Pravarsena and square gold Mohur of Manipur King Gaura Simha.
