The Sonis settle down

They've found their perfect mate, although it took a while -- four years actually, before Neelam Kothari and Sameer Soni realised that they were similar people who shared the same likes and dislikes. Now in their sixth month of marital bliss (they got married on January this year), Neelam and Sameer get candid about their marriage:

Who: Neelam Kothari and Sameer Soni
What: Talk about their life post matrimony
Where: At the Kothari residence

Great going
Sameer: We're still alive, aren't we (laughs)? So I'd say it's been a good decision on our part. And though it's a big move that we now are together 24x7, we've fallen into a nice rhythm. In fact, I depend a lot on Neelam socially as I often tend to live in my own bubble.
Neelam: Yeah, we haven't killed each other in the last six months, so it's definitely going good. Both of us have been married before and were looking for a life partner when we started dating two years back. Adjusting to each other's natures in the beginning took a little time, but now we know what makes the other tick. We complement each other.

Similar yet different
Sameer: Both of us are homebodies. There'll be times when we have to attend a party and are all ready to set out, when we look at each other. The next thing you know, we've changed into comfy clothes and are sitting on our couch watching television. We recently went to Shimla and over there we'd just take off on impromptu treks or sit for hours chatting together.
Neelam: But there's one difference -- if I want to get something done, I want it done now. But Sameer is very calm and composed and will wait for the right opportunity. I've never seen his feathers ruffled.

On my mind...
Sameer: Family and kids. We'd love to have a nice family and enjoy life.
Neelam: A baby. Second, is a tour around the globe whenever Sameer finds the time from his work.

What amazes me...
Sameer: How Neelam multi-tasks. She thinks 10 steps ahead, whereas I have a tunnel vision. She's my ears and eyes in this world.
Neelam: His patience. In today's day and age I don't think anyone can be so tolerating as Sameer is. He overlooks a lot of things in a good way.

What annoys me...
Sameer: Her short fuse. If she's irritated about something, it immediately comes out. Also, she's just begun to nag a little bit, but I'm pretty headstrong and will try to keep the nagging in check (smiles).
Neelam: I could be going on and on about something and he could be a brick wall sitting there. He doesn't feel he has to react to all that I say!
