She might not have scored too high on the acting meter, but Nargis Fakhri has still managed to get a lot of attention for her first film thanks to her pout, her resemblance to Katrina Kaif and her link-up with Ranbir Kapoor. The 31-year-old newbie who never planned to be in Bollywood, tells CS about her luck by chance, Ranbir and the lessons that Bollywood's taught her:

Act I
To cut a long story short, while I was living in Copenhagen and working as a model, I received a strange email from someone asking me to audition for a Bollywood film. Confused, I replied back asking for details. After exchanging a few mails with the assistant director of the film, I finally decided to go to Prague and meet Imtiaz Ali. I had no idea who he was, so I googled him before flying down. After I heard the story of Rockstar, I could feel it in my soul. For my first project, I got to be a part of a fantastic story, and work with a director and actor that most people get to work with much later in their career. It truly is a dream debut. I also didn't have any clue about who Ranbir was. But he made me feel very comfortable and we got along famously.

Katrina mania
Being compared to Katrina is a big compliment for me. I think she's super hot and sexy. But I don't think anyone can really compare two people. I believe we all are different and unique.

Being positive
I might have got some criticism for my first film, but I don't view it as negative. I look at it positively and know that I can only grow from it. It makes me see what I couldn't earlier. Everyone's perception is different. As an artist, I believe in letting go of the things I have created and letting the universe decide their fate.
