Thomas Gibson, who was fired from Criminal Minds on Friday for allegedly kicking writer-producer Virgil Williams during an on-set argument, is contemplating legal action as new details emerge. The actor, 54, who played Agent Hotchner on the show, has hired a top Los Angeles law firm to pursue possible legal claims against the producers.

The move comes as new details emerge from the fracas on the long-running CBS procedural and of Gibson’s sometimes-contentious relationship with his cast and crew.
Gibson, who is said to have made about $5 million to star in the show last season, had earlier issued a statement in which he said he loved Criminal Minds, but didn’t apologise for any bad
behaviour.
