Three youths from Mumbai were killed in a road accident, which took place at the Pune- Satara state highway near Khed Shivapur in the wee hours of Thursday

Three youths from Mumbai were killed in a road accident, which took place at the Pune-Satara state highway near Khed Shivapur in the wee hours of Thursday.


The police have identified the deceased as Chinar Raut, Aayush and Aadyak Kator. Two others are critical, and have been rushed to the Pune-based Sassoon General Hospital. They have been kept under observation.


According to cops, “The trio was heading to Mahabaleshwar for trekking in a car. A tanker dashed the car from behind, following which the vehicle lost control and later crashed against a rock. All three died on the spot. The incident took place near Velu village at around 5.45 am. The traffic is moving at a snail’s pace.”


He added, “Investigations are on. Two of the injured are in the ICU at Sassoon Hospital.”
