The officials of the Airport police station yesterday cracked 11 cases of housebreaking from across the city. These cases were solved with the arrest of three persons.
Apart from recovering the stolen booty worth Rs 7.82 lakh, the officials confiscated a country-made pistol from the culprits.

“The Airport police station in-charge, Prakash Shaha, received a tip-off that three suspects were in preparation of executing a dacoity at a petrol pump near Kalewadi. Based on this information, a trap was laid, and they were arrested,” said Sanjay Jadhav, deputy commissioner of police of Zone IV.
Jadhav said that during interrogation, all three of them confessed to their crime of committing 11 break-ins in the city. “We recovered the booty, comprising gold ornaments, laptops, television sets, cameras and other electronic appliances, from their houses,” said Jadhav.
Shaha informed that Khollam and Jori are history-sheeters. While Khollam has 39 cases of housebreakings and robbery registered against him, Jori has 11 cases registered against him.
