Tiger Woods was heading home to Florida late Sunday with a mixed report card from his first foray into the 2012 golf season at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship.
A share of third place in a tournament that boasted the top four players in the world and six out of the top 10 was, on the face of it, an encouraging performance. "I'm pleased at the progress I've made so far," he said of his work with new coach Sean Foley.
"Basically since Australia (in November), my stroke-play events have been pretty good. I just need to keep building and keep getting more consistent."
