The President, who was accompanied by his daughters Sasha and Malia, cracked a few jokes, as he embraced the slightly silly tradition of pardoning turkeys. He said, “I know some folks think this tradition is a little silly.
I do not disagree.” He also thanked his daughters for being good sports about standing at his side for the turkey pardon for a seventh year.
“Time flies, even if turkeys don’t,” he quipped to a crowd of laughter, as his daughters giggled heartily at a few ‘dad jokes’ in front of reporters and officials. Pics/AFP
