Luka, who is coached by former India sprint queen PT Usha at the Usha School of Athletics in Calicut, has a personal best of 1:59.17 sec. However, even that would have not been good enough for her to make the final last night. South Africa’s controversial middle-distance runner Caster Semenya emerged as the fastest qualifier in the semi-finals clocking her season’s best of 1:57.67 seconds.u00a0
