The Rath Yatra is a festival of humongous proportions in the beach town of Puri in Odisha. The 12-day festival sees Lord Jagannath (a reincarnation of Vishnu) and his companions transported on massive towering chariots. The beach of Puri is famous for its turbulent waters.
