Covered with lush green mountains and valleys, Kalsubai is every hiker’s paradise. Situated at a height of 5,400 ft, Kalsubai is the highest peak in Maharashtra. The Explorers India have organised a weekend hike to this beautiful peak on July 27 and 28. The climb is moderate, and takes you through the villages that fall on the way. Participants will also get a chance to interact with the locals and get a closer look at their lifestyle and way of living.
Your arrival at the top will be welcomed by fine droplets giving the surrounding a misty look. It is beautifully shaped and commands a fantastic view from the top. While on the top, you could also pay your respects at the Kalsubai temple, which has various legends associated with it. The trek to Kalsubai is a must for those who want to break away from the hustle bustle of city life and experience a few days in Mother Nature’s arms.
