Thanks to his car breaking down along the way, Tusshar Kapoor not only reached an event late, but also walked in at the time when the party was already over. The actor was naturally disappointed at not having being able to make it to the event – the official launch party of his next film.
Tusshar, who was shooting for another film in town, was more than confident of reaching the venue on time, by 5.30 pm. He ended up making the media wait for more than half an hour.
Our source points out, “Tusshar was shooting a tough emotional scene on Monday when the event was organised. The scene took very long to complete and by the time Tusshar left from the sets, it was a little late. Still he was confident of making it, but unfortunately his car broke down bang in the middle of the road.”
The media was obviously getting restless, and Tusshar’s co-star Riteish Deshmukh had to step in to prevent the media from walking out of the event. Adds the source, “The media was waiting for a long time and Tusshar finally realised that he may not make it. He called his managers and requested that they go ahead without him.”
Ultimately, it seemed like the day was totally jinxed for Tusshar. Not only did his car not get fixed in time, another vehicle that was sent to salvage the situation made its entry at the event after it was all over.
Says Tusshar, “Unfortunately I couldn’t be present for the first look of my film. I was extremely disappointed and my co-stars kept telling me what I had missed. The event had a pool party and it was a lot of fun.”
