2016 has barely begun, but a steady stream of controversies involving small screen celebs has sent gossip mills into a tizzy. The latest is that telly actress Poonam Preet has accused comedian Raja Sagoo of trying to outrage her modesty post a New Year;s Eve gala in Kathmandu.

Poonam, who featured in 'Ek Hasina Thi', 'Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls' and 'Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se', says, "After the show, my manager and I interacted with Raja as we were seated on the same dining table. Later, we proceeded to the casino. My manager was enjoying herself at the games, but a few minutes later, I got up to leave. Raja said he too was heading to his room. We walked out together, but while passing through the lobby, he suddenly pulled me towards him and tried to kiss me."
Although shocked, Poonam pushed him aside and rushed to her manager. "Raja followed me and pleaded with me not to tell anyone. I called the organisers and related the incident to them. Raja apologised to them and requested not to tell anyone about it," she adds.
Raja, who is known for his parodies of the Bollywood Khans, denies Poonam's claims. "I talk to everyone in my hasee-mazak style. Why has this girl picked me to gain publicity? I have a loving wife and daughter. There is another baby on the way. I am too small a person. I do not want to say anything more about this," he explained.
Poonam, on the other hand, is still undecided about filing a police complaint. "The hotel has agreed to give me the CCTV footage as evidence if I file a case against him," she says.
