"Everyday you perform and you get feedback. I feel there is no better medium to learn acting than TV. A person who is not a good actor, within a span of few days can become a good actor on TV... You get to learn so much," Adhvik told IANS.

Ready to go on air March 18 on Colors, "Gurbani" will see Adhvik playing the main protagonist's childhood friend Sohum.

"I am excited right now. Our on air date is coming close. I am waiting for people's response," said the actor and added: "Right now I can't concentrate on anything else, once this (show) settles, then I will see."

Although he is not playing the lead in the show, the actor is unperturbed.

"On TV, there is nothing called lead. The stories keep changing, so do the tracks. So if you get stuck in this mentality that I am playing the lead, you are in trouble. It is based in a family set up and every one is important," he said.

Adhvik always wanted to become an actor.

"I started with theatre in Punjab. Coming from a middle-class family, for me, it was all about being an actor. I got a film, did it, then got a few regional films, then I got this show," said the actor who was seen in Ram Gopal Varma's "Contract". He has also acted in southern films.

His desire is to step into a role that could showcase his acting skills fully.
