In February 2016, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) had issued a non-cooperation notice against producer Pearl Grey to all broadcasters for not paying dues amounting to Rs 2 crore (approx) to actors of her last television show, 'Doli Armaano Ki'. Now we have learnt that B P Singh, known for producing 'CID', is backing Pearl.

According to an insider, B P Singh and Pearl have joined hands to produce a new TV show. "Singh has told the top bosses at the FWICE that he is Pearl’s guarantor and requested them to lift the ban and let her work for the new show. The Federation has accepted his request. It is for the first time that one TV producer has backed another by turning a guarantor," says a source.

The insider also says that Pearl has promised that she will clear all the money due. "She has met the federation members a number of times and assured that if she is allowed to work, she will be able to make all the due payments. Minutes of all the meetings are with the Federation," adds the source.

When contacted, Pearl did not wish to reveal details about the new show but confirms the story by saying, "It is a very special and kind gesture by B P Singh. He has turned my guarantor and I really appreciate him for doing so. I will clear the money of 'Doli Armaano Ki' cast."
