While Sajid Nadiadwala had birthday party for buddy Akshay Kumar on Monday night, wife Twinkle is hosting a party for him tonight
Akshay Kumar returned last night, from his birthday bash held in Italy, where he was shooting for Sajid Nadiadwala's House Full.
The actor will mingle today with near and dear ones at a party hosted by a wife Tina, at the couple's Juhu residence. 
Puglia party
Says a source close to Akshay, "Akshay is very excited about this birthday as it is on an auspicious dateu00a0- 09.09.09. He is excited. He was in Italy shooting for House Full, and producer Sajid Nadiadwala shot double shifts so that Akki could complete his film faster and rush back for the party his wife was planning back home.
Sajid had a small bash for the birthday boy at their hotel in Puglia (Italy). The guests had pastries instead of cake as they couldn't get a proper one there."
Today, at the bash organised by his wife, Akki will spend time with Sajid and Wardha Nadiadwala, Vipul and Shefali Shah, builder Vicky Oberoi and his wife Gayatri Joshi, Sajid Khan and possibly, the House Full cast. "While Akshay was away, Twinkle was in Kolkata spending time with sister Rinke but she came back on Sunday night to put together her hubby's birthday party. Their son Aarav has been a contributor to the plans for papa's party."
Lucky number
The friend continues, "For Akshay, his birthday couldn't have come on a better dayu00a0- as he considers 9 to be his lucky number. All his car plates have the number 9 while some of his T-shirts have it too. Akshay likes to have his films release on the 9th of every month or at least multiples of 9.
In fact, the distributors of Hollywood film 9 approached him to explore the option of launching an online game based on the film, considering he loves the number 9."
Akshay admits, "Yes. 9 is a number that has always been lucky for me. I have always had a long association with the number. I have been told by people that I am a typical '9' person. Maybe that's true because the characteristics of the number, normally add up to lots of adventure, ambition, aggression and hard worku00a0- which I have too. Today's date comes once in a lifetime and fortunately for me, my birthday is also today. I couldn't wish for a better birthday!"
