ACP Bharat Bhosale, who is investigating the case, said, “Bansode worked as assistant for Pawar. Dokhe threatened to arrest Bansode in the case if he did not pay a bribe of Rs 5,000. We had verified the complaint on January 10 in the presence of a panch witness. Since then, Bansode was called 3 to 4 times by Dokhe, but the bribe amount was not accepted. Cops were alert after we had arrested another personnel from same police station.
Dokhe had asked Bansode to hand over the bribe money to Shinde. As three months had passed by and they were not accepting the money even after calling him to police chowky, we arrested them on Tuesday for demanding the kickback,” he added. Special Judge Vinay Joshi granted the accused bail on furnishing Rs 15,000 each. They have been directed to attend ACB office every Monday between 10 am and 12 noon for 90 days.u00a0
