Two held for damaging bikes, car in Kothrud

The Kothrud police arrested two men yesterday and booked 10 others for allegedly ransacking two-wheelers and trying to kill a person

The incident took place following a scuffle between two rival groups in Kishkindha Nagar in Kothrud in the wee hours of yesterday.

The police said that 12 people armed with hockey sticks, rods and swords entered arrived in the area at 12.30 am and started vandalizing the parked vehicles.
The police reached the spot and managed to arrest two suspects, while 10 others escaped and are absconding. The arrested suspects have been identified as Amol Kandhare and Akshay Kalokhe.


“The suspects assaulted one Pintu Jambhulkar of Kishkindha Nagar with sharp weapons and then proceeded to damage around seven bikes and a four-wheeler while screaming abuses,” said S B Navale, police inspector with Kothrud police station.u00a0
