Police shot dead Memtieli Tiliwaldi, 29, and Turson Hasan, 34, Monday in the corn fields in the suburb of Kashgar, an oasis city in southern Xinjiang, said Hou Hanmin, director of Xinjiang's international communication office.

Police had issued arrest warrants for the two suspects early Monday and promised 100,000 yuan ($15,384) for information which could lead to their arrests
