The incident occurred around 1.45 pm when the victim, Malavika Zaveri, was entering her house. At that very moment, two men forcibly entered the house and threatened her with a knife. They robbed cash, diamond, gold and silver ornaments approximately worth Rs 14 lakh.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a burglar broke into 50 year-old Basappa Ramoshree's house in Santacruz when she had gone to meet her sister. On returning at noon, she found her house robbed of gold and silver ornaments approximately worth Rs 54,000 and cash worth Rs 7,000. The Santacruz police have registered a house breaking case against the unidentified accused.
