Left-arm spinner Sidak Singh's fifer helped Mumbai bowl out Assam for a paltry 94 on Day One of the under-19 Cooch Behar Trophy at MCA's BKC ground yesterday. Opting to field, Mumbai dominated proceedings right from the start. Sylvester D'Souza picked up the first wicket for Mumbai when he trapped opener Aman Chhetry leg before. The wily bowler then dismissed Aman's partner Niraj Yadav (2) and No. 3 batsman Ishan Ahmed (6) in no time to leave Assam struggling at eight for three in the 10th over. Sylvester finished his spell of seven overs and claimed three wickets for 11.

Impressive figures
Sidak capitalised on the pressure and returned with impressive figures of five for 33 in 15 overs. Anjdeep Lad and Tanush Kotian grabbed a wicket apiece.
Arjun Tendulkar didn't bag a wicket, but showed great discipline in his bowling. The left-arm pacer bowled six maiden overs and gave away only nine runs in 10 overs.
Openers thrive
In reply, Mumbai didn't let the momentum slip as opener Suved Parkar (55) and Karan Shah (76) laid the perfect foundation and stitched a 132-run stand for the first wicket. Karan smashed 13 fours and two sixes. Mumbai were 162 for two at stumps with Divyaansh Saxena (15*) batting along with Varun Lavande (11*).
