Pure passion ruled the day at the launch of 'Uchalya' at Sun n Sand, Juhu as the cast and crew waxed eloquent on their forthcoming Marathi film venture, based on Laxman Gaikwad's Sahitya Academy Award winning book by the same title.
Ananth Mahadevan elaborated on the brilliant script and screenplay, while Laxman Gaikwad expressed the hope that this film would be the torchbearer for significant changes in the outlook of society towards his community.

This directorial venture of Mahadevan is produced by Meteor films, headed by Dinesh Bansal and supported by Ajeenkya D Y Patil, Chairman, D Y Patil Knowledge city, Pune. Indus Communications, headed by Viveck Shettyy, is the official communications agency for the film.
