The meeting in Zurich today will set the date for a special Congress to elect a new president after Blatter's said last month he'll step down.
Blatter remains in office till the election, to be held between December and March, but UEFA want him to step down as soon as possible, and by December latest. A date of the FIFA election could be in mid-January.
Those pushing for Blatter to leave soon include UEFA chief Michel Platini and other top members of FIFA's executive committee including England's David Gill and Germany's Wolfgang Niersbach.
