AS the exact date on which Anuj Bidve's body will be sent to them remains unclear, members of the Bidve family are going through much grief and pain. Two officers of the Greater Manchester police will be arriving in the city this evening to meet the bereaved family for investigation purposes.

Body awaited: Anuj Bidve, who was shot in the United Kingdom

The officers due to arrive are Chief Superintendent Russ Jackson of the Greater Manchester police and a specially trained family liaison officer.

Anuj's uncle Shekhar Desai said: "We were earlier told that three officers would be flying to India to meet Anuj's parents. However, only two officers were able to secure tickets for Pune. They are expected to arrive in Pune by Monday evening."

Anuj's father Subhash said: "Ministry of External Affairs officials are constantly updating us, but no specific date for repatriation of my son's mortal remains has been given to us so far. We have been informed that some pathological test would be conducted on Anuj's body on Tuesday."
