Adelaide-based umpire, Daryl Harper, who pulled out of his farewell Test in Dominica last year after being hounded out of the game by criticism from Indian players, will be keenly following Team India's performance against Australia during the last Test commencing today.
"I am hoping that some of India's ageing gladiators can find some form and provide a contest. Otherwise, they may be shown the door to be replaced by some youth as I was by the ICC last year." he said from Adelaide
"I hope India will play competitive cricket.
One-sided matches may be popular in the winners' country, but they aren't good for the long-term survival of the game. The first three Tests reminded me of how people were thrown to the lions in ancient times," he added.
