University cricket: Mumbai lose to Bengaluru in semi-finals

Southern Stars' (Jain University, Bengaluru) left-arm spinner Suchit Jagadeesh's four for 10 saw his team beat Western Wolves (Mumbai University) by six runs in the second semi-final of the Toyota University Cricket Championship at the Brabourne Stadium last night.

Opener Gourav Goel top scored with 38 as the Stars posted 145 for six off 20 overs. In reply, Mumbai scored 139-8 off 20 overs as Jagadeesh accounted for Shashank Singh (23), skipper Pankaj Jaiswal (25), Sumit Ghadigaonkar (4) and Sagar Gorivale (14). Bengaluru face Northern Stars (Jamia Millia) in the final on March 10 in New Delhi.
