US actress Kate says she's willing to leave popular British TV show to strengthen her relationship with former England footballer Ferdinand
The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE) star Kate Wright hopes that her romance with former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand helps her quit the British television show. The 35-year-old American actress is aiming to bag a place as a contestant for another TV soap opera I'm A Celebrity.
According to the Daily Star, Wright believes that dating Ferdinand "could help clinch her a place" on the jungle. A source said: "Kate really hasn't been happy for some time. She had a row with one of the bosses and has a prickly relationship with some of the other girls in the cast."
"She knows casting for I'm A Celebrity begins in the spring and she's knows if she gets picked she could leave Towie. She also thinks getting out of Towie could improve the chances of her relationship with Rio getting serious," the source added.
Meanwhile, Ferdinand is in no hurry to be in a serious relationship after the death of his wife Rebecca, who succumbed to breast cancer at the age of 34.
