New Delhi: National Award-winning lyricist Varun Grover is happy to have penned songs in director Anurag Kashyap's upcoming thriller "Raman Raghav 2.0".
After "Dum Laga Ke Haisha" and "Fan", Varun is coming home with "Raman Raghav 2.0" as the lyricist has earlier worked with Kashyap on films like "Gangs of Wasseypur - Part 1", "Gangs of Wasseypur - Part 2" and "Masaan".
"I have written four songs for 'Raman Raghav 2.0', which is going to Cannes this year. I am very excited to have workedon the film," Varun told PTI.
In the pipeline, the "Jabra Fan" lyricist also has a song from "Udta Punjab" and tracks of Rajkummar Rao's upcoming film "Newton". Varun is already busy writing a film, details of which he says can't be disclosed right now.
When asked if it is going to be an Anurag Kashyap or Neeraj Ghaywan project, the screenplay writer said, "I am writing a film. It should be completed by the end of this year and by 2017 we should start shooting.
"I can't reveal whether it's with Anurag or Neeraj but if it happens, it will be a prestigious project."
