Veteran BJP leader and former state education minister Hari Kumar Audichya has passed away at his residence in Tipta area here.

Kota (Raj): Veteran BJP leader and former state education minister Hari Kumar Audichya has passed away at his residence in Tipta area here.


Audichya (84), was suffering from cancer for a long time. The former minister in Bhairon Singh Shekhawat-led BJP government in 1980 passed away last evening, family sources said.


He was cremated at Kishorpura cremation ground today. Audichya's nephew offered 'the Mukhagani' to the late BJP leader, a bachelor.


Born on August 14, 1930, Audichya joined Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in 1946 and devoted his later life in establishing Jansangh and RSS in Hadoti region, in
south-eastern region of the state.

Audichya had served at several key political positions in the party as well as in the government.
