Mumbai: Nandu Bhende, the rock star from seventies rock bands from Mumbai, passed away today morning.
Bhende, 58, was the son of Marathi actor-director Atmaram Bhende and Dr Asha Bhende (Lily Ezekiel).

His maternal uncle is Nissim Ezekiel.

In 1970s he sang with bands like Velvette Fogg, Savage Encounter, Atomic Forest.
In the 1980s he was a playback singer in the Bollywood film ‘Disco Dancer’ for which he received a Gold Disc.
