A video grab of one of the boys dangerously leaning out of the train while travelling on the footboard
Just three days ago, a woman shot a video of a group of boys performing ‘stunts’ on a CST-bound train. She later uploaded the video grabs on Twitter and tagged senior railway officials following which the officers swung into action. Officials have declared a reward of Rs 1,000 for those helping them identify the boys.
An RPF personnel said, “The woman who shot the video, boarded the train from Kurla for Sewri. She saw that 10 boys boarded the same compartment and occupied all the empty footboards. Suddenly, one of them started performing stunts like leaning out of the train on one leg. He narrowly missed the poles, while another was literally dancing on the footboard. It all started before the train reached Wadala.”
The officer added that one of the boys noticed that they were being filmed and alerted the rest of the group members. But his friends told him not to worry, as a lot of people record such videos.

After alighting from the train, the woman posted video grabs of recording on Twitter and tagged senior railway officials. A day later, the officers swung into action and asked the railway cops to detain the boys as soon as possible.
A senior officer said, “We have instructed our men to nab the boys. At present, we are scrutinising the video. We have also declared a reward R1,000 to the person helping us identify the stuntmen.”
One of the female commuters, who witnessed the act said, “So many boys entered the ladies compartment and not a single cop was available to prevent them from performing stunts. They started at Wadala and went on till Dockyard Road. What if the boys had molested or robbed women?”
